We had the good fortune of connecting with Jermiah Perkins and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jermiah, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
Dance became my passion at a very young age. I often hear my mom tell the story of how I would not talk, but I would dance. I’ve always loved music and even
learned my schoolwork to music, songs, and beats. Dance was my way of
expression. I did not really start to speak until I was five years old. My mom put me
through therapy, and they even told her to learn sign language to communicate with
me. Well, if you know my mom, you know that was unacceptable. So, my
grandmother, mom, and her closest friends came up with the idea to teach me
everything through songs.
It started to work, and I would dance the entire time. Ironically, my mother tried to
put me in sports, but I was not interested at all. It was all about dance and the beat
of the music. The first time I knew this was something I wanted to do, was at my
elementary school. They had a boy’s step team and we performed in Stockbridge,
GA. There were so many people there and we won first place. After that, I knew I
had to dance. My family pushed me so much that soon it was not only about dance.
It was about vision, creating, and developing. At every step of my life, from Art of
Confidence or AOC to Dance 4 Your Life or D4YL, 22 Signs I received an impartation
that has led to who I am today. I don’t only desire to dance, but I am an Influencer,
Entertainer, Content Creator, and Visionary.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
No, it absolutely has not been a smooth road. But to whom much is given, much will be required. The one thing about a path is it will evolve and develop as you do. It
brought me to a place of understanding the energy around me and how important it
is to be sure the people in my life are aligned with me and are on the same path to
greatness. I am known for my business PerkProductions. I am learning to do it all. If
you need a choreographer for different genres, I am your creator. I am also a
videographer, music editor, photographer, and creative director. When you work
with me, anything is will be possible. There is a way and be sure you will receive
great customer service for a great price. I have a clothing line that will launch this
year, PerkMerch. Perk stands for Positive Energy Raise the Kingdom. It is all about
surrounding yourself with positive energy. You are the Kingdom and when your
vibrational energy is high, it means you rise. I am proud that at such an early age, I’ve
had the opportunity to work with an amazing artist and TV networks. Ultimately, I am
proud of my growth and who I am.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Wow, a week long. Well, my friends would be at work with me because the Boss is booked and busy. I would take them to ponce city market because it is the best
place to go and hang out. The beltline is full of Atlanta, the people, murals, vibe.
Then, I would take them to gusto for lunch and envegan for dinner because their
both really good and healthy. Finally, I would take them back to my place because
my room is cool in itself and very relaxing. Other than that, it’s the destination for me.
