Meet Sadio Tate | Esthetician/ Entrepreneur

We had the good fortune of connecting with Sadio Tate and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Sadio, can you tell us more about your background and the role it’s played in shaping who you are today?
I am originally from Columbia SC raised by my mom and with 3 sisters. My mom was a single mom raising me and my sisters. My mom is a civil attorney. My mom taught us to always be kind to people no matter what. Never allow someone to impact who you are. So I stand on principle when I move in my everyday life and I do not allow someone actions to determine my response. Also never judge a book by its cover because everyone has a story.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My business is GloweFace Vegan Skincare where I make handmade soaps, toners, serums and a couple more products. I started my business Nov 2019 as a test run. I gave my family the products to try them out to see how they liked them and if they were effective. What set me aside from other people who make vegan products. That this has been my life my whole life. My parents are vegetarian and have been since the 70’s. So this isn’t just a wave for me this has been my life. Where I am today came from hard working and not giving up. No it hasn’t been easy at all from staying active on social media to being a single mom raising my kids. But how I stay focused is I put in my mind this is just the warm up for where I’m going in my life.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my friend visit me in Atl we would definitely hit all the brunch spots every day. Like Gocha’s Breakfast Bar, Atl breakfast club, Nuvo, Toast, Homegrown. All of those places. Then I would take them to the Aquarium if they never been, maybe go walking to some of the historical places in Atl. We would go support my massage lady new business. Because she is the best ever at massages. Other than that I’m a homebody so I don’t know any other spots

I want to shoutout my 2 children!!!! For motivating me and giving me a reason daily to never look backwards and always forward….
