We had the good fortune of connecting with Fatima Balde and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Fatima, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Hello! My name is Fatima Balde, the owner, and creator of AMARAFIT.
I am from Guinea (West Africa). I love traveling, spending time with my family, brunching with my girlfriends.
I started my business to help women around the world feel confident and sexy in their fitness attire.
As someone who works out often, I know first-hand how difficult it is to find the perfect attire.
I always struggled to find a fitness attire for my body type or gave me the confidence to work out. Some were either too small, too tight, or too revealing. So, I decided to take matters into my own hands and create a fitness line that fits all body types.
Amarafit is the ultimate fitness line for women of all sizes and shapes. Our fitness wear comes with high-waisted leggings and supportive sports bras. It can be worn while running, jogging, doing yoga, working out, doing morning walks, or running errands. We have different styles and colors to choose from at a reasonable price.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I have my MBA in healthcare management, and I currently work in healthcare field.
Although busy and challenging at times, I love what I do and helping others. Working in this field, I learned to be patient, caring, and understanding.
I realized that everyone is facing a battle of their own, so I learned to be compassionate and treat everyone with love and respect.

I want women to express themselves and feel confident whenever they put on their Amarafit wear in whatever environment they are in. I want them to feel beautiful and radiate love all around them.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Whenever my friends visit, I first start by taking them out to eat at some of my favorite restaurants in ATL 1. Pasha for some good foods and hookah
2. Little steak ally for some steaks
3. Ike café for some good African foods
4. Louisiana Bistreaux Seafood Kitchen – Buckhead for some seafood
5. Bistro Niko for some French cuisines
We will then hit the town to do some retail therapy at either Phipps Plaza or Perimeter mall
Afterward, we will head out for the ATL nightlife where I take them to….

2. Ace lounge
3. Medusa lounge
4. Buckhead saloon
5. Josephine lounge
We will then end the weekend with some brunch at
1. Suite Food Lounge
2. Atlantis Restaurant & Lounge
3. The BQE Restaurant & Lounge
