We had the good fortune of connecting with Joe Stuckey and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Joe, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Growing up in a one red light town with a global mindset and amazing fashion sense was not without challenges. I didn’t always feel understood, respected or accepted. Well hey, that’s life but, my one constant is that GOD provides each of those and more for us willingly. This led me to the creation of hisheartlove. It’s always my goal to provide and receive those feelings and more in the way that God loves us. To say the past few years have been interesting is a grand understatement. We could all use support in the way of a kind word or gesture. Even a simple reminder that we can and will be more than just alright goes a very long way.

I like being able to use the messages of the hisheartlove T Shirts, Hoodies, Cammo Jackets and posts to provide that gentle reminder. Even the tagline speaks volumes.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I have a long history in Wardrobe Styling. I’ve traveled with great artist and had work featured in publications and networks such as Esquire, USA Networks, Upscale, Jezebel, Progressive Insurance and many more. Starting from a small southern town it didn’t always seem possible to have dreams beyond my surroundings. I’m so thankful to have had the experiences I’ve had and to be able to share those with so many in various forms. Whether it’s through sharing amazing looks from designers, exploring new restaurants or exposing others to great music it’s all inspiration. Check out one of my instagram pages @stylecuisinesound.

If nothing else I’ve learned that people are people. It doesn’t matter your race, preference or financial status. We all feel, we all want love and we all need reassurance at times. None of us are perfect and I don’t want to create that sense about my brand or myself but, I strive to be better each day.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
There’s nothing like getting the right group of friends together for a nice event in a wonderful space. We’d get together wearing some of our favorite fashions, share great music and eat delicious food. Providence Canyon State Park would have to be on our list. If you haven’t experienced this natural beaty you absolutely have to. We’d add a trip to Moods Music to our list to explore some new artist and catch a live show. If a friend is in town I’d love to take them to Spin Art Atlanta Paint Studio up in Sugar Hill. Instagram @spinartatlanta www.spinartnation.com

We’d also dine at The Consulate.  Www.theconsulateatlanta.com.  The menu changes monthly and provides a global view of various world options via food.  One month it may be Turkey and the next Africa.  The chef and team use travel and education to perfect their culinary skills and provide and excellent travel via food experience.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Oh WOW!! First and foremost GOD is my source of encouragement, support, comfort and relaxation. He provides that in the form of Fashion, Food & Music. I’m INSPIREd by Fashion, We CONNECT over Food and we’re UNITEd by Music. The support and love I receive is immeasurable and there are SOOOOO many people to thank. I could not in good concious name only a few without being able to personally thank everyone that touches my life. Sherida DeFrance is one of those great people. She continues to encourage and support. She even referred me for this article.
