Meet Jay Sniw | Tattoo artist & clothing line owner

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jay Sniw and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jay, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
The thought process behind starting my own business was building an empire. Sad to say I am a convicted felon and I was tired of being turned around by employers because of my mistakes in my younger days. I decided being told when to clock in and how much they would pay me to be a slave just wasn’t going to work for me anymore. They were making the big bucks and giving me pennies on the dollar. I questioned myself, like why can’t I be my own boss, work when I want to work. Since that day I hit the ground running and created a lifestyle that would fit me as a person.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My most pride filled moments are when I have a goal list and I can accomplish every goal on it. I got to where I am by sticking to my game plan and seeing my success all the way through, as well as genuine support and promotion from my customers. No, nothing was easy, I overcame my challenges by refocusing and dedicating myself to perfecting my craft. A huge lesson I learned was everyone is not your friend, some people have alternative motives and you have to have an eye for who you do business with. I want the world to know that there is only one SNOW INK CRAZY. You don’t just get a tattoo when you come to me. You get an experience.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I’m Atlanta our party life is number 1. So a friend from out of town would definitely need to see how our night life pops! We would most likely eat at places like “Rays in the city”, “Pappadeaux”, & “Escobar”. We would visit clubs such as Cheetah, Platinum gentlemen’s club, & Compound. My hang out spots include Top Golf, Andretti’s, & Main event. I would really just show them the variety of things to do in Atlanta.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
