We had the good fortune of connecting with Kenedra Byrd and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kenedra, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I decided to start my own business because I wanted to have something that was my own and displayed my talents and creativity. With doing so, I knew the best person who would compliment and add to my creativity to start this business with, which is my business partner, Tiffany. We knew we wanted a business that would bring people together, allow us to meet a plethora of different people from all over the city, and allow us to help love flourish between others. We knew the luxury picnic business was missing us so we went for it!
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Posh Park is a luxury picnic and styling company. We curate affairs to create special moments for lovers, friends, and families. Our affairs are stylish, unique and created with love, which sets us apart from others. We wanted to offer luxury experiences at affordable prices so each client gets the most bang for their buck, which also sets us apart from others.
We’ve worked very hard to get the following and clientele we have. We’ve spent weekends advertising at the park, networking on social media and just creating hype by word of mouth. Gaining an authentic following wasn’t the easiest, but we are happy with the progress and support received so far.
We want the world to know that they are in good hands booking with Posh Park. We pour our heart and soul into each affair in an effort to bring the client’s vision to life. We have so much to offer and can’t wait to curate your next special affair!
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend was visiting, I would take her to Ponce City Market and Skyline Park for an afternoon of nostalgic vibes. We’d have dinner at Roc South Cuisine then brunch the next morning at Atlantis. We’d go to Slush for afternoon drinks and the Painted Pin for some night time fun.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
We would like to shout our silent assistants Sherrelle Primm and Dennis Gooddrum. They have been by our side since the beginning and have not missed a beat even when it comes to making sure we have everything we need to be successful. They are true blessings!
