We had the good fortune of connecting with Tara Demers and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tara, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
Definitely being honest with who I am. I don’t ever want to be perceived in a bad manner but I also never want to be seen as fake. By staying honest and confident in myself and in my ability is why I think I’ve lasted this long honestly, also on why I think I’ve made the connections I’ve made. I talk and become friends with people behind the curtain which is very important to me. I don’t ever expect things from the people I met, im not that type of person. If I want something I work towards it by bettering myself and my skills.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
With my art its described as unique. some people when I think of art they think it needs to be perfect, but you know not all art is perfect. what I am most proud of and excited about how far I’ve come is all of the connections I’ve made again I will continue to say that because I’m just so grateful and thankful for all of that I don’t think I would be around still if it wasn’t for that. I’m also excited to see the account grow more and more and get more recognition. professionally yeah it definitely wasn’t easy I mean I started the whole account when I was 16-17 and I never thought I’d be having music industry professionals or many other kinds of professionals following me, following my work, my career. I just hope it takes me somewhere in the future whether it’s a job or whatever and It made a little impact and made people truly smile. i’ve definitely learned being true to yourself is everything. if you’re not true to yourself then you’re not being true to others and you’re being a fake person to you and others which I never want to be. I just want people to know take a leap. You know, if you’re passionate about something, do it, you never know what could happen.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Ooh thats a good one. when im in dallas, definitely would have to go to Topgolf just a fun time all around. there’s a place near me called, Costa Vida, Mexican food, so that’s a must. there’s also a cute little coffee shop called the Aussie grind, so we’d have to go there. The Boston commons definitely is a fun time, obviously Newbury Street, the north end, there’s a lot of good Boba places to, so would have to go to one of those. Boston and dallas just have so much to do hahah

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to shoutout all my amazing friends who have been on this ride with me, with this account, watching it grow alongside me and helping me. Also Crystal Leigh, the woman whose name the account came from, whose been nothing but supportive of this account being around. I am just super grateful for everyone around me.
