We had the good fortune of connecting with Daniela Lozano Clark and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Daniela, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I wanted to work on something that I love and that I’m passionate about. I love that through photography I can tell a story, I can capture a fun/special moment forever. As a mom, I wanted something that would give me the chance to manage my own time so I can take care of my two boys as well.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I started taking pictures in 2018. Back then I was just learning, watching several youtube videos and that’s how I learned about fashion and commercial photography. My first idea was to become a family/lifestyle photographer. I love that type of photography but I fell in love with fashion and commercial photography. I feel like I can be more creative and I have so much fun on set working with a team. I still have a lot more to do and learn but I’m excited to reach a point where I have commercial clients. That is my dream.

What of my challenges is social media. It’s so easy to compare to others work, to feel like you will never reach your goals because there is so many people out there doing the same. When I catch myself feeling like that I take a break from social media and I tell myself that everyone is unique and I have my own style and that I just need to do my best. Another lesson is to always be always be nice and respectful.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I moved from San Francisco, California a couple of months ago so I’m not too familiar yet with everything but so far I love:

To have fun:
– The Roof at City Market
– The Aquarium
– Escape Woods at Sleep Hollow Farms (for the Stranger thing fans (like me!) that want to see Hooper’s Cabin).

To eat:
– Ipp’s Pastaria & Bar

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My family is my rock, they are always encouraging me to keep going. My husband, my two little boys, my mom, my dad and my aunt.
