We had the good fortune of connecting with Oneshia Ogletree and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Oneshia, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Hmmm, my first thought was , “ I need to sell something that women need all of the time !” I , then , did a poll on facebook and asked “ do women wear shades year round ?” and majority said yes ! So that’s how I started out selling lashes and sunglasses .

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Soflyystyles, LLC Is an online boutique. We are very affordable with fast shipping. We can dress you for any occasion. If we don’t have it , we’ll try our best to get it . I am most proud of always being able to “ Get people together!” My customers always tell me , “My business comes through .”  Things aren’t always peachy , but this journey is so rewarding. There are a lot of challenges ,but it doesn’t stop anything , solely motivation . I’ve learned that you can’t please everyone! Just try your best to fix the problem and keep striving to become better ! I want the world to know that , one day ,soflyystyles will be BIGGER and BETTER and you will become a loyal customer .

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If we were to hang out in my hometown ; We would fist go see one of the many talents here, from the Makeup artists, Braiders and Hair Stylists.  We would go shopping at all of the black owned clothing businesses first .( One of us will have everything you need ! So SHOP,SHOP,SHOP!)  We would go eat at Happy Daze Bar and Grill and then go for drinks at Smoking Margaritas!! They’re both black owned businesses as well . Shout out to ALL of them ! Griffin ,GA is a very talented city . You can get  everything you need here. I also love going to all the spots on Edgewood , so we would go there too .

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
God first and foremost! I or Soflyystyles wouldn’t be where we are without him. Secondly, my grandmothers, I strive to make them proud . Thirdly , my A1 supporters from my hometown , Albany state university family and strangers , y’all keep us going ! Thanks so much ! Lastly, my old job , who laid me off (lol ) it was a blessing in disguise. I used my payout money to start up my clothing portion of my business and my business took off from there ! So , I thank them for not believing in me!!
