We had the good fortune of connecting with Eri J and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Eri, what role has risk played in your life or career?
I think about risk in the phrase ‘Calculated Risk’. There are times when I have had to take a major leap in order to get further in my life and career, often times looking at the worse case scenario and possible solutions if that worst case were to happen. So although I am taking a risk, I’m also thinking about the impact if it doesn’t go the way I hoped it would. It is a form of risk analysis that allows me to make the hard decisions when needed.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Konn3cts Entertainment is an all-inclusive entertainment company that focuses on the business side of the entertainment industry. We aim to take the difficulty out of the process of being a creative and visionary to focus on how to maximize potential and opportunity.

We provide services from Website Design to eCommerce, Advertising, Social Media Management, Artist Management and Business Consultations. We are grateful to have a network of professionals that can assist with almost all other parts of business and entertainment.

We are currently managing the super talented, Sean2 Miles who is a super producer and a singer. He is releasing his next album summer of 2022 and we are putting a lot of our focus on his release. We do almost all of our recording at Da Vault Recording Studio in Downtown Los Angeles (thank goodness for them!) which is open for workshops and studio time at www.2milesahead.com/davaultstudio

We are a woman-owned and black-owned business and love being part of the growth and change in the industry. What sets us apart from others is our unique approach to accomplishing the goals for each client through our success pillars. We love partnering with other brands to expand our reach into the community and to help professionals accomplish their goals in a timely manner. We also love giving our partners the chance to increase their clientele. Its a together mission!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend was visiting the city, I would love to take her to some of the new immersive museums we have in the city such as the Van Gogh Museum, California African American Museum.

We would HAVE to make a stop by some of my favorite eateries, such as Del Frisco’s Grille across from the Santa Monica Pier and Post & Beam in Baldwin Hills!

For nightlife, who can resist Highlight Room or Bootsy Bellows (and sometimes you can find a random unplanned show on Hollywood & Vine LOL)?

Let’s not forget the famous Pantages Theatre for a play and The Hollywood Bowl for one of the best open-air concert venues in the West Coast! Never ever has there been a bad show there.

We would definitely spend one night or more at the Staples Center for a game or few, the best concession stand is on the A Suites Level, just saying.

I’m sure she would love to go to the beach but I would remind her that sand will follow her EVERYWHERE, no matter how much you think you clean and we would top things off at a stroll and coffee in Belmont Shore district.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I definitely wouldn’t be here without my tribe and the help of many others, both indirectly and directly!

I want to dedicate this to my dad, Kev, my BonusMom, Joyce, a host of loved ones such as Nika, Janice, Carmen, Dean, Melina, Kenny, Malcom & Jonetta, Mack, CJ, Will, Dr. V and so many more…if I didn’t mention you, charge it to my head and not my heart!
