Meet Chele’ Jenkins | Master Mind & Sugar Sprinkler

We had the good fortune of connecting with Chele’ Jenkins and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Chele’, can you share the most important lesson you’ve learned over the course of your career?
Triumphant Events has taught me that “the time is always right.” To put this into perspective, if we waited until everything is lined up perfectly, we’d never accomplish anything. There will always be something out of line, but if you give up/don’t try the guarantee is that it will never happen. The only way the possibility that it can happen remains is if you never give up.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Triumphant Events & Treats was originally created as a way to escape my pain after having my first child. I would create shirts or go on YouTube to find a cute craft to try. Eventually my daughter’s birthday parties became my blank canvas. I would use them as an opportunity to showcase all my abilities and practice those that I wished to perfect. By her 2nd birthday, I realized there was more inside of me and Triumphant Events was more than just a side hustle. It was my passion and I wanted to put my all into it, even if it meant taking risks and getting out of my comfort zone. What sets Triumphant Events apart from others is my faith. I know where Triumphant Events is going; I don’t how, when, or why, but I know what was given to me when I was given the vision for it. So no matter how things look I will continue to press forward and do my absolute best.
Maintaining and starting my business was not easy initially, it was completely different for me. I wasn’t used to speaking to strangers or putting myself out there. I always had this theory that if someone doesn’t speak to me first, then I won’t bother them. And boy has that changed. I promote every chance I get and will proudly say what I do.
What I want the world to know about my brand and story is that it isn’t the end. Triumphant Events will be known in rooms that my feet have not graced. I say this in the humblest way because I know my purpose and I know the vision that I got when I got it. I also want people to know that Triumphant Events came from a pure space and will continue to operate in love and faith. Every order/event is created with love in my heart and faith in my soul.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
One of my favorite spots in the city is flying biscuit cafe on Piedmont ave. Funny story, I discovered Flying Biscuit Cafe summer 2021, while pregnant. I told my spouse I wanted shrimp and grits, but wanted my grits to taste like pepperoni pizza. Of course, he thought I was insane and so did I because I never in my life had the combination but for some reason it seemed so right. We went to Flying Biscuit on a limb to try their shrimp and grits; not only was it good but it was exactly what imagined that combination would taste like. They top their shrimp and grits with some sort of marinara sauce, so it was perfect. The environment was friendly and welcoming as well!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My mother, Monica, deserves just as much credit as I do in my story. She’s been there every step of the way, not only in life but also with Triumphant Events. She pushes me when I need it and celebrates me when I deserve it. She’s up with me late nights when I’m working on orders, but my anxiety is trying to get the best of me. She’s my taste tester and idea encourager. Sometimes I have so many ideas that I can’t get them all out of my mind quick enough, so she’ll write out the many things that I am thinking as I speak them. For these reasons and so much more, she deserves my shoutout.
