We had the good fortune of connecting with Kamisha Fields and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kamisha, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I was going back and forth with myself about quitting my job because my 9 to 5 was getting more of my time then my business was…. I wanted to quit my job but I was afraid to because I didn’t won’t to fail at running my business…. But I still took that chance and stepped out on faith and I’m still learning as I grow my business.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I started making Shea butter for my kids at home because they had eczema really bad and nothing the doctor gave them helped so I watched YouTube to learn how to make natural Shea butter.. And one day I made a batch of peppermint just for my kids and my mother started telling friends and family about my Shea butter every time we had company she would pull that peppermint Shea butter out for everyone to try. So we have a community day once a year called LYNWOOD PARK DAY! so I set-up as a vendor and everyone supported and loved my products so I didn’t stop I kept going with making.. it’s not easy being a business owner you have good and bad days but I wouldn’t change it for nothing in the world.. I’m very grateful for the support team I have on my side they keep me going.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I love a good restaurant, (sea food) and I love a great body massage, shopping and getting my toes and nails done, bowling, we’ll end the night at a Bar and Lounge lol

A special shot out to the Love of my life Adrian for always being my support system and having my back and loving me for me. And a special thanks to my friend/big sister Valencia for always being loyal and never judging me and always being a shoulder to lean on.. I’m forever grateful for you both.
