We had the good fortune of connecting with Chatejah George and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Chatejah, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I wanted to open up a movie film studio. I saw a vision and prayed about it. I wasn’t sure if I could do it or not, but I’ve started a lot of businesses and knew that I could start this one too.

What should our readers know about your business?
I am 23 years old business owner and the youngest to open a move film studio. I am very happy that people are supporting my business. I’ve raised for $5,000 in donations in cash and my GoFundMe account. I got to where I am today by not giving up. I stayed consistent and figured out a way that was made for me. Building a business is the hardest part. Anyone can start a business, but having a successful business isn’t so easy. I overcame my challenges by not taking a break when I needed one. When I say a break, I just took a day off. I also stayed around other creators and business owners to get inspired when I felt down. I listened to motivational videos daily to help me stay on track. The biggest lesson I learned along the way was to save and have good credit. I established my credit when I was 18 years old and started saving. I want everyone to know that no dream is too big.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would take my friend to Juicy Crab. Juicy Crab is one of my favorite restaurants. Now, as far as a place to hang out… I wouldn’t know. I’m not much of a party person or a hang out person. I would probably ask my friend if she wanted to go to the mall to shop and I would have to ask Instagram to help us on the rest.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My mother helped me start this business. She’s an entrepreneur and has had several businesses her self. She’s opened hair salons and clothing stores in Atlanta. She’s taught me, along the years, how to run a business. I didn’t go to college for it, I learned from my mother.
