We had the good fortune of connecting with Jon Robert and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jon, can you tell us more about your background and the role it’s played in shaping who you are today?
I’m from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania the only child of two missionaries they wanted me to have a global perspective and understanding of the world. So I have been traveling as long as I can remember. This has aided me in becoming a travel content creator, and be so open to explore the unknown.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Well we are the first and only black own yacht company in Mexico. It was easy to get started, but definitely a learning curve once we got started. For us overcoming challenges required finding ways to simplify our process. Listening to customers needs, finding the right resources, learning a new language. So many lessons biggest one is “black people do support each other” . We are three young black men looking to do our part to change the narrative. We aren’t perfect but we look to make ourselves better everyday.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Whew that’s a lot of info. My other company is travel consulting so I can’t give away all my secrets.
