We had the good fortune of connecting with Linterria Drummer and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Linterria, how has your background shaped the person you are today?
Hi . My Name is Linterria, born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, who impacted me to be who I am today for this career, my grandmother ( Linda ), as I used to sit back and watch my grandmother prepare a food feast . I wanted to help some type of way because she was the only one in the kitchen,as the holidays got closer she would prepare more desserts such as : chocolate chip cookies, fruit bars, the list goes on and on . From that moment I decided I loved doing more desserts baking is my passion, also I loved to color and draw animated characters so my beautiful art plus baking made me want to put more effort into baking, furthermore I am able to do both be very creative with cakes, cupcakes, cookies & pies .
What should our readers know about your business?
Honored by having this opportunity for Shoutout Atlanta interview “ Lin’s Sweet Treats ”. Furthermore super excited about me finishing school for my degree in this field then, gladly own my own bakery. The reason my business is expanding to more customers I have done plenty of events advertising my profession. No.It was not easy for me to come out my shell to starting handing out business cards and sampling free desserts, but as I come out my grenade. I have more fun getting to know customers and what their favorite sweets are. I overcame my problems by noticing this is my career and I need to persuade my trade to my lovely tribe. I dislike messing up not putting my business out more and messing up ingredients and starting over on my sweet course but it shows me to pay attention to the little things I am doing incorrectly and correct my mistakes the next time. My brand is very authentic and credibility I keep my promises with my customers and never let them done, and make sure they are well taking care of because I want them to enjoy their event plus smile more when they enjoy their sweets. Also, my description behind my business name : “ This Southern Girl Can Bake ” it’s nothing like no southern baking.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
For starters if you are hungry what do you have taste for this is the new Atlanta businesses are expanding through Atlanta, Ga . If you have taste for Mexican the no.1 best spot is “ No Mas Cantina” there is nothing like a good chicken fajita with their special spicy salsa. If you are looking for a good time with hip hop/ r&b music with a good cocktail “ Slush Atlanta” this spot have a dress-code and very upscale. The top scale- fancy place to go visit “ Skyline Park” you are at the rooftop of Downtown Atlanta and able to see the full Atlanta,Georgia. They also have miniature golf, fair rides, drinks and a good time with your friends and family . After 5pm 21+ and older are only limited . On a sunny beautiful day I love going to hang out at my 2 favorite spots : “ SunTruist Park & Piedmont Park . SunTruist Park is an nice place for your family, friends and significant other for a nice cocktail, great variety of different ethnicity meals furthermore a miniature water park for the kids , & very historical place as well the Atlanta Braves play at the park as well. Lastly Piedmont Park is great for a date, family fun you get to enjoy Atlanta weather and have picnic and do photo shoots their the best part is to watch the sunset with the full of Atlanta gigantic buildings behind, this is the largest park in Downtown Atlanta.
