Meet Lashanna Brown | Business owner & Finance Professional

We had the good fortune of connecting with Lashanna Brown and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Lashanna, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
My thought process behind owning my own business was to do something I loved and create generational wealth. My ability to create in the kitchen also allows me to touch people and spread some joy into the communities in which I visit.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Sweet Bee’s started in August of 2018 and took a life of its own. It was something I created when I owned a catering company. It was strictly for my clients. It’s now an organic beverage company where I handcraft fruit-filled lemonade and tea. What sets me apart is that I leave the fruit in the bottle to infuse the lemonade. It starts from a base and slowly gets its flavor from the fruit.
What I want people to know about me and my brand is basically, I love to serve. I do not craft when my spirit is out of sync. I am a firm believer in transfer of SPIRITS and if I can give anything of myself, it would be the joy I have when preparing my products. I want people to feel the love in every sip. This is not a hobby for me. It allows me to MINISTER to those who don’t even know they need it and sometimes that includes myself.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Well since I am not in the A, I would have to give places in Baltimore.
My favorite SPOTS to eat is Papi Cuisine, Capital Lounge, and my new favorite Black Swan.
Papi Cuisine is quick pick up and go enjoy your food at home(you can also DINE in)
while having a cocktail.
Capital Lounge is where you go for the best fish and wings in the city. O’an I am not a Henny drinker but I’m definitely having one or two STRAWBERRY HENNESSY’S for the culture.
Black Swan is a cool girls night out or date night so I would definitely hit that spot up. Their food and drinks are amazing…
Since I no longer party, food and drinks are my turn up. Lol
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
If I had to name the support, my list would be endless but for now, I’d like to thank Bmore Flea. Patrick was the first market(farmer’s) that took a chance on my home based business. He really pushed me in 2019 to go hard and get out into the community.
