Meet Zeeda Michele’ | Empowerment Strategist/Author/Speaker/ CHH Artist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Zeeda Michele’ and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Zeeda, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
My thought behind starting my own business was connected to my passion for empowering women! I always was creating ways to make an impact while creating also an income . Nevertheless there were those times where the first overpowered the latter!

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.

I selected “Other” because by day I have corporate job as an RES (residential experience specialist) in luxury multi-family living properties.

I also am an entrepreneur with a decor design company being launched in a month. Z’Michele DesignZ,  which was is home staging and also decor. As well as my women’s empowerment foundation, which is inclusive to my career as an author , speaker and empowerment apparel! I know it’s a lot but I love creating!

Being an author and speaker are also factors in my professional career.  Sometimes I’m out hosting trainings to inspire people to grow professionally and personally… in the corporate setting ! I love my corporate job and I was just promoted to lead in my market! I am very excited about this journey that I’m on!

What sets me a part from others? is not only am I a leader I am a fearless leader not afraid to step outside the norm! I hate being boxed in or doing things by the book!

I am still learning and growing so I don’t mind learning, growing and following other leaders also. I’m innovative and I’m not scared to do big things!

I am excited about so many things but I must say writing has to be my joy! As I am embarking upon writing 3 more books one about starting  over from scratch and I mean scratch!  One of my other exciting things is a huge Power Gala I host in houston every year, with all the bells and whistles red carpet , live band, live DJ, and live all the way live  entertainment, 3 course dinners and crystal awards! I honor people that aren’t often recognized but there working hard behind the scenes! Some people need to know there seen and they do matter!

How did I get where I’m at today! It took a lot of reinventing myself  a lot of hard work , and talking to myself because I had such a rough life! No it was not easy at all. I came from a life of abuse, incarceration , dealing and stealing , teen pregnancy, high school drop out. I was even suicidal… So it was a fight everyday, and everyday it still is a challenge to grow and be a better me! I would be lying if I said I arrived !

The lessons I learned…. I learned that anything that came fast would lead to trouble. But working …legit work pays off! And God has to be your center! The center of it all ! The CEO of my/your life!

My brand is Makingpowermoves.com and my story is overcoming by way of Gods power! A power he placed in me! And I only make power moves ! And it’s only when God says move! And my goal is to infuse that power mindset into every woman I come in contact with, and to let them know it’s not about where you been or where you’re at…it’s where you wanna go and what direction you want to take. How do see yourself and after you’ve seen manifest it!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?

I’m pretty much a homebody! So much so I designed my place in such a way, I am excited to get home everyday! So come over sis/ bro take a seat at my bar let me cook for you and afterward let’s turn on the big screen watch a movie breathe in the beautiful aroma of the atmosphere, and then let’s have a hot cup of something with Beignets on the balcony at night with the solar lights illuminating and the sounds of Frankie Beverly & maze playing on the Bluetooth speakers.

The next day will hop in the car in take a trip to the city that raised me ! New Orleans! We’ll enjoy the sounds of the city eat a little of everywhere because New Orleans knows food! and then it would not be a trip if I didn’t bring him/her  to the French Quarters !

Then off to the place I was born the Golden State! California I’m all about sunsets and views so we’ll drive across the Golden Gate Bridge and ultimately land on a beautiful beach enjoying life! As far as people goes we’ll visit family and meet some new people along the way !

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?

I can’t name just one there are so many! My first mentor Mr. Melvin Adam’s who is a former NBA player and Harlem Globe Trotter. Then there is Bishop RC Blake’s , Bishop Lester Love and also women like Pastor Fran Love and C.C.Harrison Lady Lisa Blakes, Keedy Black, Tora Morris, Jaletha Porter, Slim, Cole Rose , my mom and my beautiful family which is my tribe! My bestie  Rainie, and  my sissie Charlotte! too many to name!

If I had to name a book  to recommend or read it would be my own “From Pain To Power” because it was there I discovered my strength!
