Meet Tequilla Hill-Allen: Psychotherapist and Emotional Wellness Consultant

We had the good fortune of connecting with Tequilla Hill-Allen and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Tequilla, how does your business help the community?
In light of the joys and complexities of doing emotional labor, self-care becomes an important aspect of a therapist’s personal and professional growth. Although therapists are trained to hold space for others, we often do not create the space to consistently care for ourselves. For these reasons I am passionately committed to supporting fellow providers in managing their own self-care.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
As a Licensed Psychotherapist, Registered Yoga Teacher (E-RYT500), Certified Reiki Master and AAMFT Approved Supervisor my training and professional experiences are informed by systemic psychotherapy and contemporary mind-body practices. In addition, I have earned a PhD, MS, and BA degrees in my professional expertise. For the past 16 years I have dedicated my professional life to providing mindful and compassion centered offerings to my clientele. I integrate somatic and holistic approaches in my consults and experiences. One unique thing about me is that my practice supports other psychotherapists along their wellness journey.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would take them to SPENGA ( East Cobb) to elevate the body.
Then, I would take them to JeJu Sauna to detox the body.
Next I would indulge in delicious and healthy food from Local Expedition Wood Fired Grill in Sandy Springs.
