We had the good fortune of connecting with Zach Richie and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Zach, what do you want your legacy to be?
I want my legacy to be that I was someone who helped get people through the worst up and down stages of their life. I want my music to carry a sense of timeless nostalgia. I want to be able to help those in need and soothe their worries if only for 3 minutes at a time. I want to be known as someone who helped better his community through positive affirmations and great music.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Put simply I am a poet. I feel that i have a very unique way of expressing myself. That’s something that no one can take away from me.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Gotta take them to little 5 points of course. Maybe go thrifting and get some wings definitely. I love cruising through the city on the little electrical scooters. Ponce City Market foe sure

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to dedicate this to those who believed in me when i didn’t have to confidence to pursue music because of my own self doubt. There were people who pushed me to be more and i’m eternally grateful.
