We had the good fortune of connecting with Zerrick Williams and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Zerrick, where are your from? We’d love to hear about how your background has played a role in who you are today?
I’m from the small town of Eatonton Ga. with both parents, a twin brother and 2 sister. Growing up at the age of 11 I discovered a love for music and singing and would entertain my family.. As I grew u watching videos and different TV shows that I developed a passion for entertainment. I started my first R&B group in ‘92 and had dreams of signing to a major label but that was cut short due to the loss of one of the members. After graduating college at the Art Institute of Atlanta with a degree of Music management. My love to entertain through music led me to pursue theatre because it would allow me to sing and act. This is where my shift started and the pursuit of acting began.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I take nothing from people who can step out on faith “if you will” and pursue their dreams but in my case it’s was a little different. While still seeking a career as a actor I’ve worked as a sales representative for more than 20years now and it’s been challenging at times but full filling. I’m grateful that I’ve been able to gain PTO (vacation time ) on my job so that when I’m needed on set I’m able to put in my request for time off. Since that time as an actor and while working a FT job I was blessed to book a few major roles. ( FX Network “Atlanta”, 2018 “Game Night”, HBO “The Outsider, and BET Plus “Bigger”
I’ve learned no matter what one’s decision is to fulfill their purpose in life it’s gonna require sacrifice, patience, consistency, and hard work. Never let any successes go to your head stay humble and remember to give back and help someone trying to do the same thing.
In the entertainment industry their will be lots of door closing, no’s, and disappointed but one can’t allow themself to be affected by this. I tell myself that this is another opportunity to study more and enhance my craft. Remember: “To whom much is given Much is required”
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.

Day 2: Have beakfast at Crackel Barrel or Two Broken Egg, later head down to underground Atlanta, later hit up Brownstone cigar lounge
Day 3: Have breakfast and enjoy a day at Six flags, return home to relax

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My grandfather…R. I.P Ulysees Rawlings was my biggest motivation. He was a singer and sounded like the late great Sam Cook. He told me before you sing or perform you know whether or not you’re good or not if you’re honest with yourself and no one has to tell you.. I’ve kept that advice with me til today. My mother Mamie Williams has always been my biggest fan and she’s always encouraged me to never give up on my dreams but to stay consistent and it will happen.
