We had the good fortune of connecting with Yung Meme and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Yung, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking.
Taking risks has been the foundation of my music career. I dared to be different, because I know that I am a spectacle. I think everyone should take the risk of betting on themselves.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
What sets me a part from others is I’m unapologetically myself, and nobody will work harder than me. I am most proud of how I’ve elevated my mind to do what most people think is impossible. I got to where I am today by not letting what anyone say get to my head and never losing faith in the God in me. Learning this skill was difficult but easy at the same time because I had the technique mastered but not the principles. The lesson that I’ve learned along the way is depend on yourself nobody else can save you. I want the world to know that Yung Meme is coming.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would take them to Blue Pizza in 5 points Columbia South Carolina. The owner Mr. John is a cool guy from New Jersey that’s definitely our first stop. I like anything local in any city because it’s real people and it’s real to the soul. Hanging at Owens field park is cool for skating and having fun.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
First off shout out to God. Shoutout to my Brick Squad Monopoly family, 808 Mafia family. Shout out to GoldenLord and the Golden Dynasty family. Shout out to South Carolina!
