We had the good fortune of connecting with Young Nino and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Young, do you have any habits that you feel contribute to your effectiveness?
For me, it’s the consistency. I have a good habit of staying consistent, on my grind, and hustling hard to continuously build my brand. I also have a good habit of cutting off negative things that aren’t contributing to me or my brand being successful. It’s a lot of fake people out here showing fake love really waiting and watching for your downfall. That’s why I only keep the real ones around me.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
What sets me apart from other rappers is that I don’t follow trends or ride the someone else’s wave. I do my own thing. I’m proud of the fact I’m an independent artist who is coming up without a major co sign or handout. I never had to step on someone or drag somebody down in order to be successful. I just know how to grind and hustle hard. It definitely isn’t easy when you’re building your name and brand. You have to really want it and be willing stay down until you come up.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would definitely start the day by pulling up to Milk & Honey at Cascade. It’s a dope brunch spot to get food and drinks. Then we would ride through the city and hit up Lenox and Phipps. Later on we would pull up on Zari Lounge and kick it for a few. After that we would end the night throwing money at Club Blaze. Some other spots we would hit up are the Ubar, Harold’s Chicken & Ice Bar, and Q – Time Restaurant in the West End.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
First I want to thank God for making all things possible! Secondly, I want to shoutout my label Stack Money Entertainment. Much love to everyone who works to put us on top! You know who you are.
