We had the good fortune of connecting with Whitney Hendrix and Amber Hazell and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Whitney and Hendrix, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Our thought behind starting our own business was to eventually have financial freedom while doing something we love. We both bring something different to the table that allows our business to thrive. Amber is very creative and has a love and passion for design and creating experiences, while Whitney has a passion and expertise for the business/financial side. We both utilize our strengths and strengthen our weaknesses. Our ultimate goal is to have a sustainable business that can be a stepping stone for creating generational wealth.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Poshnic is a carefully curated posh experience based in the heart of Atlanta. We provide a luxe outdoor dining experience & ambiance just for you and your social bubble! Date night, girls night out, birthdays, anniversaries and more!

We are still in the beginning stages of our business but we are very confident that we have an experience like none other. From the luxurious decor, to charcuterie boards, to our fun entertainment add-ons. It’s not just a picnic, it’s a Posh experience. We bring everything you need so that all that you have to do is show up and enjoy the vibes.

We want Poshnic to be a household name when people think of elegant experiences with a side of vibe. Our company is constantly finding ways to create a more unique experience for our customers. We are always daring to be different!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We love exploring the city! There are so many options for whatever you’re into, right here in Atlanta! The beltline for endless outdoor sites and bites. Ponce City Market for some good shopping and great eats. Little Five Points for those with a love for the eclectic. East atlanta, the museums, the aquarium, The Battery, etc. the list can go on forever- forever-ever forever-ever!  ATL has so much culture and original experiences to offer! Especially if you happen to be a foodie, like us!

Some of our favorite restaurants are Apt4B, Ms. Icey’s, Harold’s, Slutty Vegan, and Rodney’s Jamaican cuisine to name a few. These restaurants are all black owned and offer such great vibes! They are a must-see!!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Shout out to our family and friends who all play a very important part in our success stories. Without their love and encouragement we would not be able to continue this journey. We love you!
