We had the good fortune of connecting with Tyra Hall and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Tyra, how does your business help the community?
The mission of my business is to undo the unattainable standard of perfection that society has brought upon us, and push health of the skin. People often forget skin is the largest organ and is to be cared for as such. Since being a Licensed Esthetician I have fell in love with the actual science of skin and skincare. I want to be able to educate all ages and communities how to care for their skin properly.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I specialize in customized facial experiences. What sets me apart from others is my experience and diversity in the industry. I am most proud of how I have curated my business to be a safe, and educational space for people eager to learn about and work on building the health of their skin. My spa experience and love for skin has allowed me to thoroughly understand what a consumer wants from their service.
Being an entrepreneur is not an easy decision in general, and I feel most that have chosen this route are keen to that. Nonetheless, when it is your passion and purpose.. its always worth it. I always find a way to push through in my hardest moments with my business and overcoming those obstacles getting more rewarding as you push forward! I love to journal, meditate and pray , pray , pray.
I’ve learned how much more important it is to be patient, that is very important for a business. I want the world to know that as long as you stay focused, positive, have the right people supporting you and most of all staying true to your authentic self you’ll be just fine. Anything is possible. Be submissive to the right criticism, never stray from the vision and keep going. As far as skin goes, as I said previously I want to be able to help the masses better understand how skincare and ingredients work and why not everything that looks cute will work for your skin.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’d probably do brunch at Highland Bakery when they first get there for brunch that’s what comes to the top of my mind (Virginia Highland). I enjoy cooking so I would definitely be cooking or maybe swinging by Goldbergs on Roswell road for a quick bite. Throughout the week we would chill, definitely go shopping at either perimeter, Avalon or ponce. Piedmont park once or twice, the belt line depending on the day. I’m also obsessed with Cafe Intermezzo so that would have to be on the list! Massages, good dinner and anyone in my friend group would be happy. I do not enjoy going out, its never been my thing!
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My shoutout goes to my awesome parents and family in my life. Without my family there would be no me! I also can’t forget about my awesome God.
