We had the good fortune of connecting with Tyler Reese and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tyler, what’s the end goal, career-wise?
I want to make Cyberdelics an arena band with several other businesses as well, to generate additional income.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
The journey to get Cyberdelics to where it is has been a long one dating back to years. I always had this vision for how I wanted my music to sound, but I was unsuccessful with my previous projects. There was a lot of inner conflict with former bandmates which also followed me into the start of this band. I wanted a sound that combined multiple genres into one that didn’t focus on just being a rock band. Unfortunately, that vision did not resonate with the people I had been working with in the past. When the original lineup of Cyberdelics feel apart, I made the decision to go solo and focus on my production. That was when I wrote Oblivion. The lyrics are about the prior conflict I had been dealing with and marked a new beginning. It’s still one of my greatest achievements as an artist to date and laid the foundation for what I will continue to build on. Our upcoming single Ascend further pushes that vision forward. If I have learned anything from this project, it’s that sometimes you just have to take matters into your own hands instead of trying to rely on others for help along the way.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I usually like to hang out for food & drinks in eav or l5p. Usually at The Earl, Flatiron, Star Bar or The Yacht Club. Then go see a show at The Masquerade, Tabernacle, Innerspace, Smith’s Olde Bar, Star Bar or The Earl.
