Meet Terrance King | Actor

We had the good fortune of connecting with Terrance King and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Terrance, why did you pursue a creative career?
I’ve always wanted to do something in the entertainment industry, but I thought I’d be behind the scenes and I thought it would be in the music industry. Funny story, years ago one of my friends was at my in home recording studio doing music and he also was starting to navigate the acting world and he just told me I had a “look” and I could be in the movie industry. After about 6 years of ignoring that advice, I finally applied for a few background acting roles and I guess I had a “look” because here I am 4 years later, an actor!

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I believe one thing that sets me apart from most is I have a wide age range that I can portray, I still have a young enough face to portray a low to mid 30 year old or I can grow my facial hair out and because it’s all gray I can pull off a 60 year old as well.
Getting to the point in my acting career now, I wouldn’t say was easy but once I really locked into where I wanted to go with my acting career, I was able to put together a pathway to reaching my goals. I began to network more, be more intentional and more vocal on sets. My goal was to land 1 GOOD speaking role so I could atleast make a reel to showcase my talents.I accomplished that and now I’ve filmed 3 movies and 2 tv shows in 2025 so far.
One thing I’ve learned is, it’s never too late. Acting is one thing that has no age limit, you can start at 80 years old and there are roles available. So if acting is your passion/dream never give up chasing that, it’s never too late.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
To me, the hottest spot in Atlanta right now is probably… my couch! Lol I’m a chill watch a movie type guy. If I’m not doing on set, I’m more than likely home. I don’t advise having me as your tour guide. Lol

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Honestly, I have to thank a good friend of mine Patrick Young Jr, he cast me with my first official speaking role on “Back Home” written, produced and Directed by King J-Boi who I definitely have to thank as well for giving me the opportunity to be in his movie and trusting in my talent.
