We had the good fortune of connecting with Terrance “Deuce” Edwards and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Terrance “Deuce”, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I wanted to create something that I would wear and my friends would too.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
What sets me apart from others is that I’m a high school student and athlete in addition to being a creative. I’m focused on growing my company and playing college football after high school. It isn’t easy having to balance so my things but I have the support of my parents, my family and friends to help me along the way.

I would like the world to know that I have serial entrepreneurial aspirations in addition to being a scholar student athlete. My vision of starting The Purpose Company was to create a positive trend for my generation and to inspire my peers to focus on applying Purpose in all aspects of life. The Purpose Company incorporates fresh fashion ideas to spearhead the culture, and more importantly, to present various community-based efforts to promote social inclusion and togetherness. I have a vision of growing The Purpose Company to an all-inclusive brand that will soon be a household name.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Well I live in Richmond, Va; so if they were from out of town I’d take to the mall; to the movies; to other fun places like paint ball shooting or skyzone or Kings Dominion. Then i’d take them to get something to eat.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to shoutout my dad (Terrance Edwards Sr.) My dad helped me bring my ideas to life and he helps me alot !!!!!!!
