We had the good fortune of connecting with Temera Stallworth and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Temera, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking.
I think risks are essential to life. You have to be prepared to take risks to make it your dreams a reality. Being a business owner is a risk in itself honestly one day business is going up and the next it not as good. Either way risk can be good or bad you just got to be willing to risk whatever.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
What sets me apart from others is my personality and professionalism. I’m not judgmental and I strive to make all my clients feel comfortable. I correct myself whenever I’m in the wrong and accommodate my clients accordingly. I’m most excited about where I’m going in life. I really see a bright future for me with all my ideas I have. I got to where I am today by being honest with my clients from my beginner journey til now. It was not easy some days are better than others, some clients didn’t come back some came back and brought friends/family. I overcame by just continuing to get better at the things I felt I was not doing well on. I’ve learned you can’t please everybody and not everyone is meant to be your client and that’s ok! I want the world to know that if you are trying to start a business do your research and believe in yourself truly you never know where you will go if you don’t start!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
We would go to brunch at High Noon and get mimosas or rum shots. Depending on what mood we are in after we go to balloon museum or sandbox vr. To hang out we could go to ponce city market it’s different places in there that look amazing to experience.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My parents deserve a lot of credit. They both have taught me so much of what things I can do to make my business better. They both have helped with setting up my suite, gave words of encouragement and positivity. I love them both and owe them a lot.
