We had the good fortune of connecting with Telle Kouture and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Telle, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
My thought process behind starting my own business was to focus on perfecting my crafts in order for my multi talents to flourish. It’s key to dedicate your time into having a strong and healthy work ethic so that it shows in your work. Things flow the best when the business is always put first and stays organized. The fun kicks in after business is in order. Being able to do the things I love for a living and making my passion my paycheck was one of the greatest decisions I ever made in life. I’m a huge fan of creating a lifestyle that I love so that’s exactly what I did. I love the feeling of work not really feeling like work. Some days are more overwhelming than others but still rewarding and it feels good calling it your own.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Fashion & Beauty are life to me. I love being a natural creative and being able to pass on the energy of my art to others. What sets me apart from others is just simply being me. I don’t strive to be like anyone else and I keep what my heart desires front and center at all times. I’m most proud of how far I have came and most excited about what’s aligned for me as I keep growing. I got where I am today by carrying myself like the person I want to be treated, standing firm on handling my business and most importantly by giving respect to others. I feel that great things happen for me in the midst of others being involved in my endless success story because the energy I give off is reciprocated. Being a entrepreneur is not always easy but knowing the importance of balance helps you push through. It comes with highs and lows, sacrifices, sleepless nights, long hours and so forth but if you want the top, it’s yours! Consistency and dedication is the ultimate key. Perseverance helped me overcome any challenges. Keeping a positive mindset, faith and pushing forward while figuring things out instead of standing still is how I continue to elevate. I’ve learned along the way that knowledge is POWER and to always keep a open space to learn more. There is no such thing as knowing too much. There is always room for improvement even when it’s all together. I want the world to know that I am passionate and I love what I do. I was made for the life that I created.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Hey, it’s Atlanta we have so much to do here but if it was up for me to plan it would be the ultimate vibe. Come along as I share my favorite places in the city. Breakfast I would have to hit up Home Grown. Brunch or lunch I would head to Apres Diem or Cafe Intermezzo. Those are two of my favorite places. The food is amazing and there is never a long wait. The vibe is very chill and relaxed. For evening dining, Poor Calvins, The Capital Grille, Chops or Two Urban Licks would be great. For a nice hang out that’s pretty chill but still a vibe with good music and drinks I would go with Sivas. If time was running out and/or we didn’t want to dine in somewhere then I would just grab some pizza from Fellini’s or wings from J.R Crickets but not just any J.R Crickets, it would have to be the original one on North Ave. If my friend who was visiting is really into partying then we have non stop night life for sure. For a nice Sunday outing, a nice bike ride at Piedmont Park and skating would be my go to. Honestly the list could go on and on but those are just a few.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to give special recognition to God because without him nothing I’ve accomplished would have been possible. I keep my higher power first at all times in everything that I do personal and business. Next I would like to recognize my mom & my daughter. Their love is just so pure and sweet and I often put in extra work just for them. I love making sure they are happy and the way they adore me is like no other. Most importantly, I would like to recognize my supporters, Family, friends and those who I have made connections with from social media. My social media platform took every business venture to new levels. I can’t thank those people enough, it’s honestly beyond words.
