We had the good fortune of connecting with Sytiria Hawkins and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Sytiria, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I have always had a passion for planning events. It started with planning my children’s parties and eventually family and friends weddings. After years of receiving those requests, I made the decision to make my passion into a business. I went back to college and received my bachelors degree in Business Management and masters degree in Leadership and created my company Cailee B Events.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
We are full service event planning company. We plan events such as weddings, social events, parties and corporate events. We pride ourselves in providing exceptional customer service. We are there from beginning to end and treat our clients like family. We love the fact that if we plan one event for a client, they call us for all there events. there after. Our success comes from giving our client’s events the same attention to detail as we would give our own. One of the toughest parts of growing our business was getting our name known in the high end event industry. We worked hard and booked a few high end events we have continued to work with some amazing clients.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I love Atlanta and there are so many hidden gems in the city! If a friend visited I would make plans show them a few well known spots and some locations that people in the city may not know about. I am a foodie, so restaurants are a top priority! I would plan a visit to Breakfast at Barneys, lunch at Bistro Niko and dinner at the Plated Lounge with one of my favorite chefs , Chef Aleem. We would also visit a spa and have a little retail therapy! Other days we would visit the Civil Rights Muesem, College Football Hall of Fame and live sporting events pre-Covid.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Qiana Solomon and Felicia Buck
