We had the good fortune of connecting with Steven Randall and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Steven, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
What was the thought the process behind starting my own business?

While I’ve always had an entrepreneur mindset with many small businesses that I started and left dormant; COVID made me really put my feet to the ground to start my media company. it was and still is a very traumatic and nervous era that we live in. I watched people loose their job due to COVID and unfortunately many have lost lives. I didn’t want my job or worth to be determine by this pandemic. So I started my own.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
What sets me apart from others?

Answer: My humility. While it is important to be confident in all that you do; it is just as important and even more important to be humble. I always make sure that I am approachable and coachable. I don’t know everything and I will never be on that level. So when you have a mindset like that, people tend to flock to you.

What are you proud or most excited about?

Answer: A major highlight is to be interviewed by you all. This is my first magazine and interview. So whenever something is the first, it tends to stand out. Thank you so much for this opportunity.

How did you get where you are business-wise. Was it easy?

Answer: I got here by hard work and dedication. Many nights trying to figure out how-to; watching tons of videos; messing up and getting done wrong by people that were looking to get over; but not mention those who really had a vested interest in me succeeding as well. it was not easy but very much worth every moment.

How did you overcome challenges?

Answer; Lots of prayer and good people in my corner.

What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way?

Answer: Never hesitate to ask questions. Never underestimate your craft or the value that you bring to the industry. And don’t be afraid to say ‘no’ or walk away from a job that may undermine your craft.

What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?

Answer: With Project Randall Media, you will always get the best.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend came to visit me there are only two types of food that I really like; that’s Mexican and Seafood. I would suggest “No Mas Catina” ( while I don’t particular care for tequila, I love a good mango margarita) downtown Atlanta off of Walker Street or for seafood, it would definitely be Pappadeauxs. But if you just wanted a good vibe and chill food, Virgils Gulla Kitchen and the Nouveau Bar & Grill in downtown College Park off of East Main Street are also great places to eat at. As far as just hanging out, I like cigar lounges along with live music. I just kind of float to a place that I feel goes with my mood for the evening.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
First and foremost, I give all honor and glory to God for allowing me the opportunity to succeed in a field that is filled with so much talent. There are so many people that has had a hand in assisting me in becoming a better photographer, videographer, and business man. Photographers such as Derek Blanks photography, Image Taken Literally, A-Town Vega, Geedot, Ron the Artist, Knox Photography, Freedmind Productions, Etreproductions, The Legacy Center (Jay and Ernestine Morrison, Mariah Robinson, Laini Davis) and so many more when it comes to guiding me in the right direction for creativity and business.
