We had the good fortune of connecting with Stephanie Lynn and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Stephanie, what matters most to you?
Serving others with respect. Having respect for my brand and working hard behind the scenes shows up in front of family (customers). This respect exudes to when I serve all those who patronize Georgia’s BEST Baked Beans. I give nothing less than what I expect each and every time and order goes out.

What should our readers know about your business?
Georgia’s BEST Baked Beans is a bean cuisine brand. We specialize in a variety of healthy and hearty bean cuisines. We focus on beans and providing our customers one dish meals, why because I am the Bean Queen and we are Georgia’s BEST! What sets me apart is my faith. I rely on God to keep me and to continue to give me the strength from day to day.

GBBB has gotten where we are because of our dedication and the support of our repeat customers. Providing our customers with fresh and local ingredients has been the catapult to our growth. The desire to provide the best quality was a no-brainer. My grandmother went to grocery store daily in search of the freshest ingredients she could find. I watched my grandfather raise chickens and grow fresh vegetables in his very own garden. Focusing specifically on beans, GBBB has had to be creative and innovative. This wasn’t an easy feat at times as I’ve have had to improvise when certain ingredients were not available. When this happens this reminds me of my grandparents who could always make something out what they had. This motto has taught me that if I take a breath and regroup I can come up with something better than I imagined.

I would love for the world to know that beans are a protein. There are an infinite amount of hearty meals composed of beans. At Georgia’s BEST Baked Beans we want to share a piece of our family with others. We strive to provide not only fresh meals but meals that are filling. We started with one bean flavor passed down from my grandma to eight flavors and a full catering menu centered around a variety of beans. I am excited to continue to welcome the world to our menu, just as my family does every Sunday with an open door dinner policy.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Born and raised in Decatur with my bestie we would just go to eat! LOL, if you know me you know I LOVE to eat! So being that we are from GA, we would just hit some of our favorite spots. I absolutely love Mexican and a good drank, wink. We would gear up for breakfast and head to Pancake Social over in Ponce City Market. For lunch we would do one of the city’s best Che Butta Jones over on Cleveland Ave! Babe let me tell you this place is farm to table fresh and has the BEST shrimp fries in da city! We would then make our way to my absolute favorite favorite Hacienda down in McDonough, GA….wooooh that is some good Mexican food. We then would press pause, the next day we’d make our way to Sunday brunch at Copelands in Cobb where we’d enjoy brunch and Mimosa’s. For a light afternoon snack we’ d head to One Sushi, YES! I know I said Mexican was my favorite but I guess I just love food, no favorites really just food. And to top off the evening dinner at one of my cousins! Nope not an actual restaurant but I’m a family girl and get pleasure out of spending a lot of time with my family whenever we can. There is always a grill going from someone in my family.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
There are several people that deserve credit in my journey. First all the honor and glory belongs to God! The conception of Georgia’s BEST Baked Beans would not be if it weren’t for my late grandmother Bobbie and her amazing bean recipe there would be no GBBB. God allowed me to be born into a family where feeding the body and soul was her blessing to me. My sisters Kisha & Lanivea, woooh, life without them just wouldn’t be. These ladies have listened, critiqued, cheered me on, supported every event, and prayed for my continued success. I love them so much. My mom for challenging me in creating more than just beans. This allowed me to bring forth some out of the box menu items that are loved by all today. Taj, one of my best friends of 25+ yrs, and Casey, my niece. These two have been there to help me serve and sell out the many events I do from city to city. I tell you I could not thank them enough for all their time and service asking for nothing in return but my success. Sydnie, Victoria, Jonathan, and Ramone all my sounding boards for not just all things GBBB but my life. They have supported, suggested, loved, and cared for my business just as if it were theirs and I am truly grateful to have them in my life. My daddy….GBBB and I are appreciative to him for always producing the best images possible through photography. My family, for supporting me and recognizing me as a businesswoman. And last but most certainty not least the people who allow GBBB to grace their palate time and time again.
