Meet Shaztada Scoby

We had the good fortune of connecting with Shaztada Scoby and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Shaztada, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Pretty Mind & Body was born out of alignment—mind, body, and spirit. I’ve always believed that true transformation doesn’t just happen in the gym; it happens in your thoughts, your habits, and your relationship with God. After years of navigating military life, motherhood, and my own healing journey, I realized there wasn’t a space that truly honored all three: wellness, faith, and femininity. So I created it. PMB is more than a fitness brand—it’s a movement for women who want to align mind, body and spirit.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Pretty Mind & Body isn’t just a wellness brand — it’s a sacred space for women who want to transform from the inside out. We combine physical training, mindset coaching, and spiritual grounding to help women glow in every sense of the word. What sets us apart is our holistic, faith-based approach. We don’t just train bodies — we train beliefs, routines, and the spirit behind the woman.
I’m most proud of the impact. Hearing women say they feel seen, supported, and stronger — mentally, physically, and emotionally — reminds me why I started. Getting here wasn’t easy. I had to bet on myself, walk away from security, and trust that the vision God gave me was real — even when results weren’t instant.
There were moments of doubt, burnout, and starting over. But I learned to pivot with purpose. To rest without quitting. And to stay in alignment, not just hustle.
What I want the world to know is: PMB is for the woman who’s done shrinking — spiritually, emotionally, and physically. She’s ready to glow boldly, walk in purpose, and take care of her temple — all while looking good and honoring God.
This is more than a business. It’s ministry, movement, and mindset in motion.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend came to visit Atlanta, we’d blend soft life energy with a little turn-up. I’d take them to Atlantic Station for shopping, good eats, and city vibes. We’d hit a few lounges like Suite Lounge or Republic for music and cocktails, then do a full glam night at a top nightclub like Gold Room or Rock Steady. Brunch is a must — Toast on Lenox or Breakfast at Barney’s, followed by a little self-care moment at Jeju Sauna. Whether we’re catching a rooftop sunset, vibing to live music, or just exploring local gems, ATL never disappoints.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Absolutely—my biggest shoutout goes to my mother. Her strength, grace, and resilience laid the foundation for everything I am today. She poured so much love and wisdom into me, even when life was heavy on her shoulders. Watching her navigate challenges with faith and dignity taught me what real beauty and perseverance look like. Pretty Mind & Body exists because I come from a woman who embodied both. She’s the original blueprint—and I carry that with me in every part of this journey.
