Meet Sharon Cline | Voice over artist, narrator, Business RadioX host

We had the good fortune of connecting with Sharon Cline and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Sharon, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
I listened to audiobooks in the car when driving into the city, and I loved how the narrators were like actors bringing the characters to life. Since I love books, I thought I’d give it a try! Being a narrator lead to being a voice over artists, which has lead to being a Business RadioX host and producer of The Chuck & Zee Show.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
There was a big learning curve when I got started, from voice techniques while recording, to the right equipment, to learning the most effective production software, and it was challenging at first. Over time, my skills improved and continue to! Online resources helped me so much, especially through ACX and Such A Voice. There are kind people out there who upload YouTube videos on how to solve all sorts of technical issues and tips on succeeding in the industry, and I’m grateful for them! My voice tends to be described as warm, trusted and authentic, Some of my favorite clients are Harley-Davidson, DirecTV, AgData, and all of the books I work on I’ve enjoyed. Any time I get booked for a voice over job or to narrate a book, I can’t wait to get started. For the client to like how I sound enough to pay me to represent their company or book, I feel so honored and want to do the best job possible!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I love Ponce City Market, the Georgia Aquarium, concerts at The Tabernacle, riding the the SkyView Ferris Wheel, Avalon in Alpharetta, and the great restaurants and events in Woodstock where I live.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Thank you goes to ACX, Such A Voice and my mentor Chelsea Parkingson, Voices.com, Stone Payton with Business RadioX for the opportunity to have my own radio show, Anna Kawar for being such a wonderful friend to me, and the business owners who go to YPOW, a weekly networking meeting in Woodstock, Also my three wonderful children Grace, Rachel and John, and three grandchildren! They inspire and support me every day!
