We had the good fortune of connecting with Shahid Lamothe and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Shahid, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor behind my success and the success of my brand is not giving up. I was taught at a young age that if something is too easy it won’t be worth anything in the long run and the things that comes with challenges and hard ship will pay off in due time. Building The Graphic Loop has been a long rough and rugged road, but all the hard work I put into finally paid off.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
The Graphic Loop is a business branding agency that survives off of its motto which is, Infinite Possibilities. Our Mission is “To help other businesses grow to their full potential by showing our clients that there are infinite possibilities to their success”. The biggest thing that sets us apart from our competitors is order for us to succeed we have to help others succeed. Our whole brand is essentially based off of helping others. It’s only lonely at the top if you don’t help others along the way. The main way that we help our clients is through brand strategy. We know that the easiest way to grow a business is by growing that business’ clientele base; more customers = more money = bigger business. With our brand strategy services we will either build or re-build your business’ brand based off what will attract your ideal target audience. From that point we will create a logo, stationary items, website, packaging items, color palette and any other branding material your business may need. Along with that we also include business coaching, so we can make sure your business is attracting more of your ideal target audience.

Being patient, not giving up and being dedicated to my vision is what helped me get The Graphic Loop to point that it is at right now, and I’m really excited because I feel like the best is yet to come. Growing The Graphic Loop to where it is now has been everything but easy, but that’s the main reason why I never gave up on it. My dad taught me that if something is too easy the reward will not the be great, but things that are challenging will have a great and fruitful reward. The Graphic Loop has been vision of mine since 2009, and the biggest challenge I’ve encountered so far has been figuring out what will set The Graphic Loop apart from its competitors, and what will increase its value to its ideal clientele base. Once I overcame that challenge my clientele base almost tripled.

“Infinite Possibilities” is what I want the world to know about my brand and myself. It’s the motto that I live by and the main reason why I named my business The Graphic Loop. The meaning of Infinite Possibilities is keep going, don’t stop striving for your goals we never know what life is going to throw at us, but the name of the game is to keep until your goals are met or surpassed. Just like the infinity symbol is a continuous loop, you should continuously keep striving to hit what ever goal you set for yourself. You may get detoured away from that path for a brief moment, but always remember to keep your vision going and get back to working on hitting your goal. I did everything from door to door sales to driving 18 wheelers to get The Graphic Loop to the point it’s at today. No matter what job I was doing The Graphic Loop was always on my mind, everything I’ve done so far has helped me mold my vision in a different way. The Graphic Loop is only the beginning, I’m proud of the progress I’ve made so far, but I’m even more excited for what’s coming in the near future. The Graphic Loop has a lot of big things brewing right now, make sure follow us on Instagram and Facebook @TheGraphicLoop

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
In my mind I’m seeing this itinerary as a lit weekend with some friends and it’s there first time visiting the A.We gotta start off the trip that Friday with a lil dedication to our roots and take a quick tour around the AUC. I’ll show them where I stayed and reminisce a little on my time as a student at Morehouse College. We would stop at Busy Bee’s to get some breakfast, then head towards Edgewood so we pay our respects to Mrs. and Dr King. After that we would go to Peters St and hit up The Spinning Pie to get some lunch and some light drinks. After The Spinning Pie we’ll go right up the up street to CRU, so can we chill, smoke cigars, drink Crown Royal, catch up and go over current and future investments. After spending a few hours at CRU, we’ll go to Mangos on Auburn Ave to eat some fire Caribbean food for dinner. On Saturday we’ll start the day with brunch at Negril then go visit the Trap Museum, Coca Cola Factory and Civil Rights Museum. After our Museum tour we would end the night of either at Suite Lounge or Compound. We’ll start Brunch off on Sunday at Mary Mac’s and end Brunch at OAK Atl’s Brunch Vybez Day Party.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to dedicate this to my entire family, with a special shoutout to my Mom. Thank you all for giving me the tools to survive in this world today.
