We had the good fortune of connecting with Serina McDonald and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Serina, how do you think about risk?
I think about risk every time I have a thought or idea come to play in my head. I do tend to take risks only because all risks don’t have bad outcomes. I took a lot of risks that got me to where I am today in my life and career. In life sometimes you have to take risk in order to find out the outcome. I look at it as stepping out on faith.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am excited about the direction my business is headed and I’m proud of myself mostly. I got to where I am today through struggles, hardwork, dedication, and determination and it definitely wasn’t easy. I overcame most of my challenges by standing strong and weighing the pros and cons. If you let a challenge get the best of you expect to lose. I learned so many lessons along the way but the most important ones is never give up on yourself and never let someone tell you what you can’t do. I want the world to know that I started from the bottom with nothing and my brand was built off of dedication & determination and Rinakreeps will never change trying to help those who are willing to learn and expand they business and brand. Success is what you make it.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
We would definitely have to grab some food from Juicy Catering. We would go hang out downtown check out a few dope spots to grab drinks. We would go to Milk & Honey. Check out the brewery. Definitely go party with the LGBT community great vibes fun times. It’s the ATL a week long trip we everywhere. The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to give a shoutout to my mom & dad for being my biggest supporters in my life. A huge S/O to my kids for always supporting me & pushing me to go harder. A shoutout to my team Green Boi Recordz; Lay Boi Ent; RuLoyal Ent the best photographer in the ATL EiShoot. A shoutout to some of the real OG’s in the industry Lady Redd, CEO Smokehouse, Bo Jack just to name a few who always showed love & support. And I have to thank the love of my life for holding me down daily.
