We had the good fortune of connecting with Scott Plato and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Scott, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
At age 13 I began playing guitar. From that point forward being a guitarist was my main goal. I began performing in rock bands and I started classical guitar lessons at age 16 with my future university guitar professor.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I perform in Duo Catanza, www.duocatanza.com. We are a classical guitar trio. The recent limitations on live concerts have enabled us to reach many countries through online performances. We now have a following in over 22 countries and we perform regularly in the UK.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I am an animal person so I would probably go to dog friendly restaurants and events. Many places in the city allow you to bring your dog and have food and drinks on the deck.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My wife, Deirdre Plato, has supported all my efforts. She has always been there to encourage me and to keep me grounded and focused on what is truly important in life, family.
