We had the good fortune of connecting with Sai Shashank Reddy Tadi and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Sai Shashank Reddy, what do you think makes you most happy? Why?
What makes me happy is the art of creation, specifically in the world of VFX. There’s something magical about bringing impossible worlds and ideas to life—taking a vision and making it tangible for others to experience. It’s the perfect blend of creativity and technology, and seeing a shot come together, knowing that I had a hand in crafting that illusion, fills me with joy.

VFX is where imagination meets precision, and that challenge excites me every day. Whether it’s crafting a subtle visual detail or an entire scene, the process never fails to make me feel fulfilled. It’s the ability to transport audiences, evoke emotions, and tell stories in a way that feels limitless. That’s why I’m in this field—it’s what truly makes me happy.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My art is VFX – the craft of blending creativity with reality to transport people to entirely new worlds. What sets me apart, I think, is my unique creative perspective and the passion I bring to every project. For me, this journey started in my childhood, when I would get completely absorbed in TV shows and films. I loved how they could take us somewhere else, and I knew early on that I wanted to be part of creating that kind of magic.

The road to where I am today wasn’t easy. Coming from India, where pursuing a career in VFX is both challenging and expensive, I had to take a bank loan just to follow my passion. The financial pressure was difficult, but my drive to create never wavered. Along the way, I’ve learned a lot—how to stay professional under pressure, how to keep pushing even when things get tough, and most importantly, that struggles shape you into who you need to be.

What I want the world to know is that passion can take you anywhere. No matter who you are or where you’re from, if you’re deeply committed to your dream, you can achieve anything. It’s not always easy, but it’s worth it. You deserve to see your dreams realized, and you should never give up without giving it everything you’ve got.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Since I live in Savannah, I’d show my best friend the best the city has to offer in a week-long trip. We’d start with a leisurely walk through Forsyth Park and then explore Broughton Street for some shopping and a bite at The Collins Quarter. We’d visit the Wormsloe Historic Site and unwind with cocktails. A day trip to Tybee Island Beach would be a highlight, with seafood at The Crab Shack. We’d also check out the SCAD Museum and explore the lively City Market. It’d be a great mix of nature, history, and Savannah’s unique charm.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’d like to give a shoutout to my family for their unwavering support in my journey into VFX. A special thanks also goes to my professors at SCAD and mentors like Josh Parks, whose guidance helped me refine my skills. The people I’ve worked with along the way have truly shaped my path, and I’m grateful for their influence.
