Hi Sacarya, Let’s talk about principles and values – what matters to you most?
I believe that everything you do should be done with love.

I am firm believer that love is always the answer. You have to love what you do for it to last. When you help others, you do it out of love not expecting anything in return. When you truly love whatever it is that you are doing, you will enjoy it and be filled with joy while doing it.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Crowned By Carya is a business that creates art by braiding hair. I discovered my talents years ago at a very young age. I braider hair for family & friends often. After graduating high school, I took a bit of a break to focus on my studies. As time went by, I started to tap into learning about my true passion. I have a passion for connecting with other women in such a way to uplift, encourage, and most of all love on them. To encourage them to discover their true beauty inside and outside. I figured there was no better way to do this than to go back to my God given gift of hair braiding. Doing this, I would not only be able to make them beautiful on the outside, but connect with them on a deeper level while they are sitting in my chair for a few hours.

I am just getting started and in a world full of braiders, it is not easy. However, I am confident I am on the right path and I believe that as long as I am passionate and love what I do, all else will fall into place.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
This is Atlanta. There is so much to do so answering this question was a bit tough. So, let’s see:

Honestly, all credit goes to God. I’m just using the gift He gave me!

I also have to credit my husband, La’Darian, who supports anything I set out to do. He helps with promotion and all. If there is ever a time I get discouraged, he is right there uplifting me and reminding me that better days are ahead. He is a proud husband.

Then there is my son, Zion, who is always willing and ready to help! Always telling me “Mommy, you can do it.” He and his little sister, Ivy, are my “Why”. I do it all for them.

Shout out to all of my clients. Without them, there would be no business. Definitely appreciate them for trusting me with their crown.
