We had the good fortune of connecting with Sabryia Reese and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Sabryia, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I found myself sitting on the floor of a homeless shelter staring at my then 1.5 yr old daughter, trying to figure out how to start again. And I prayed and I cried and I prayed some more and asked GOD to show me what I needed to do. Literally that same week, a friend of mine told me there was a program gifting people business classes but it was in New Jersey and I was still living in Brooklyn. But I applied and got accepted. I then stood in the office of what’s called “The back to work” program where as the government forces people to go to when you apply for any type of assistance and I saw people of all walks of life mistake me for some one who worked there and knew the answers….it clicked for me. GOD needed me to help these people get out of where they are. So my business began. However, I assure you even at graduation, being a service based business. I still didn’t have much of a clue as to what, where or how I was going to do any of these big ideas I wrote down. But later on, GOD revealed it to me and the rest is history.

What should our readers know about your business?
Absolutely. I am the Olivia Pope of Branding! I execute strategy, I birth businesses and bring vision to life through responsive Web & Graphic design, content creation and marketing strategy. I am confident in the anointing of being able to not only understand the language of my clients but I am able to bring it to life in such a way, it changes lives! It certainly was not and still isn’t easy. Every step of the way was self-taught, GOD-led and all trial & error. But i’m grateful that the cards life dealt me that I once thought were terrible, allowed me to gain a strength and built up my faith to sustain through it all. I am still learning how to really be a real business. After 5 yrs, i’m just now learning about business credit. I have also learned it doesn’t pay to lower your price or standards. Your clientele will find a way to meet you where you’re at because they value you. So, don’t go places youre not needed or valued. You will burn out alot quicker. I want the world to know, im finally ready to tell my story and they need to strap their boots up because the shelter was just a small chapter in my book of rollercoasters!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Ahh forget it, I barely go outside LOL this question isn’t for me. Hahaahhaa I am usually at networking events. I’ve been to a few nice places and restaurants so perhaps I would do that. I love Ponce Market. They have shops, amazing restaurants and a really dope rooftop garden that’s also attached to the beltline which is a long path filled with art and restaurants as well. ummm, yeah but we would mostly chill in the house and catch up because i’m sure she enjoys indoors like I do as well

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Oh yes, I would love to give a shout out to a phenomenal & selfless Celebrity Coach, boss-preneur, Philanthropist who has an endless accolades, Dr. Jacquelyn Wilson. Ive witnessed her cater to the streets and heal every person she comes in contact with. And we finally connected on a deeper level this year and she extended her resources to me after finding out I was knew to Atlanta. Since then, I have been able to truly branch out and become solidified in my business as an expert in my field, i’ve been blessed to be on billboards as well as magazines. And this is all thanks to her selflessness. I am honored to know her and she is a phenomenal Coach as well. So I tip my hat off to her! Love you chica.
