We had the good fortune of connecting with Robert J. Clark IV and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Robert, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
Being an artist was something that was always in me to do. Some of my earliest memories are of me actively involved in some sort of artform. I played the piano for a few years, took up drawing & sketching, sang in the church choir for 7 years, wrote my own songs and performed on a regular basis to now acting. I guess it was something meant for me, it just continued to come back around so I decided to put my all in to see what could come of it.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am an Atlanta based TV/Film actor as well as voiceover talent. I have had the opportunity to be cast in lead or supporting roles in about 17 different productions. I tend to be very selective about the type of roles I go out for which means for me I am always passionate and focused on set. It’s not the easiest industry to find “success” in, but prayer and persistence is the key. I always ask God for direction, wisdom & help to overcome any challenges. It would also be beneficial to do all you can to grow in your craft whether it’s taking classes, learning a new skill or reading books pertaining to what you want to do. In addition, surrounding yourself with likeminded people who are just as serious as you are about growing will help to put you on the path to success.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If you’re just getting off the plane and hungry I would stop by Grub Bowl down in Hapeville. It’s not far from the airport and they have really good food. Topgolf in Midtown is a really good hang out spot for lunch or to have a fun evening. If you’re into the art scene, I’d recommend hitting the High Museum & then later in the evening visiting Ponce City Market for literally a variety of reasons. They have good food and shopping options you won’t typically find elsewhere. Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I believe that being able to explore creativity at a young age taught me that it’s okay to think outside of the box and not to be confined to one school of thought. I think having that allows you to learn who you are as a person & be okay with it a bit earlier than most. I have been fortunate to have a supportive wife, family and friends to encourage me along the way. I also believe that having Jesus as your foundation gives you a sense of wisdom that you can’t receive anywhere else to help you navigate life, work & relationships.
