We had the good fortune of connecting with Rita Scott and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Rita, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor behind my success would be prayer. Without my relationship with God I would be no one and I wouldn’t have anything.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am the founder of U Don’t Know My Story and C Beyond Your Now Outreach Ministries. I am an author, a domestic violence advocate, and a Pageant Queen. It was definitely not easy to get to where I am today but it was worth it. I overcame my obstacles by remaining focused on the purpose even through the pain.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If I’m being honest there’s no particular place that we would go simply because we love to try new things as much well as foods. Diversity is everything in all of my relationships of any kind.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
There are so many people who has shared a united role in my being who I am. My grandmother was the foundation to my finding who I am and my purpose in life. My parents (including my bonus dad). Life really turned for me when I became a mother and now Gi-Gi. A huge thank you to my children Brend’ishai, Cirnovonte, Zechariah, Aziyah and my Grandbabies, Ulanie, Deonte Jr, Kaydence, Zamariah, Zakai. Last but certainly not least my best friend, cousin, and sister Teneka. She’s prayed for me, cried with me, and spoke life into me when I wanted to give up.
