We had the good fortune of connecting with Renee Lowe and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Renee, what do you attribute your success to?
The key factor behind my success is, I put God first. Everything else falls in line after that. God. Family. Business. Always in that order. I am pretty relentless when it comes to completing tasks and getting projects done. I push my clients as well, even if they don’t always like it. After a project or specific campaign is done, they understand why I nudged them out of their comfort zone. This is the reason clients stay for long periods of time or one-off clients continue to come back for periodic consulting. I always want to make sure that I am accountable and I try my best to keep company with other people who do the same. If you are looking for someone to tell you what you want to hear, I am probably not the person for you. LOL! I’m tough, but lovable.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am an Executive Brand Manager that specializes in digital creations and events. I love doing graphic design, creating audio and video as well. I have a weekly podcast called The Queen’s Lair, which has hundreds of listeners from around the world! I also create events around female entrepreneurs. It is often a summit or conference where they leave with helpful tools to grow their budding or even refresh their established brand. What sets me apart from others is that I am a great read of people. I can meet a potential client one time and figure out their entire brand path, based off of one meeting. It’s actually kind of scary how acurate I can be…LOL! I have been called a Brand Therapist, Life Coach and a host of other titles because of this gift. I embrace it and cultivate it through my business. Getting to where I am professionally took a TON of work! There were people who doubted me, even flat out told me I would fail. I even had very close people to me try and sabotage my success. That truly hurt me, but it made me even more relentless in my pursuit of overcoming those challenges. I want people to know that my brand is not just one thing. There are LEVELS to this game and I am still climbing!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Being a foodie, I am not afraid to try different cuisines. I love a good light dinner these days, like sushi and a glass of rose wine. If I decide to go for a more hearty meal, I head over to my favorite Jamaican spot. My family is from Jamaica, so we love well-seasoned meats, and provisions (root vegetables, yams, cassava, sweet potato…etc). The North Georgia area, like Duluth, Lawrenceville and Norcross have some great hangout locations. I love restaurants or lounges that display the culture of the people in the food, music and atmosphere.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My Dad, Mom and Sister. My Dad passed away 2 years ago, but he is still a source of encouragement for me. There are so many life gems he dropped throughout my upbringing, but I did not always understand or appreciate them until I got older. My Mom and my Sister keep me going as well! I can call my Mom about ANYTHING and she has a way of knowing just what to say and how to say it. My Sister is a great sounding board. She also brings clever humor to situations and that keeps my spirits up. The past several years have been the roughest of my life and they both have been there for me in ways that they don’t even know and I love them for that!
