Today we’re excited to be connecting with Regina V. Baltimore Barbour again. If you haven’t already, we suggest you check out our prior conversation with them here.

Regina V. , thanks for joining us again. Just to level set a bit for folks who may have missed our last interview together, can you briefly introduce yourself?
Who am I?
I am a mother, wife, author, teacher, speaker, serial new beginner, transparent enthusiast, and most importantly lover of LOVE and life.

My brand is AUTHENCITY. Sharing with people that’s its ok to be their most authentic self, that’s it’s ok to fail and it’s ok start over as many times as you want! Not caring what people think just as long as you are growing, learning and evolving.

Currently I am a teacher, corporate speaker, and an author (working on my second book)

What set’s me a part is my vibe, my energetic approach, my charismatic delivery and the safe space that I provide, weather I am speaking to one or one thousand. When you meet me, you are going to think we’ve known each other for years.

The highlights of my journey are actually my losses, that’s when I discover most how incredible and strong I really am. There have been losses in my life, but I am still here, still growing, still trying, still grinding and getting right back up and doing it all over again, because one of these days I’m gonna WIN and be right where I was destined to be!

Alright, so our main goal today is to give our audience an update on what you have been up to since our last conversation. We’d love to hear how things are going and what you are most looking forward to or excited about these days.
Since we last connected it’s been a whirlwind! My first book F.L.I.P, The Script on Your Struggles has done amazing! Every time I have an engagement I literally sell out of the book!

I have also had some extremely stagnant moments, and a lot of questions regarding my next move regarding my career or even if want to stay in the teaching profession. There have been rejections and sometimes not so great news or moments, but it allowed me to reach within myself, because we all have greatness inside of us. During these stagnant moments, sometimes I would lie in bed all day, questioning what is really going on? I should be so much more further. Sometimes I would look and envy my neighbor’s greener grass and wonder, how come their yard is always so perfect. In those moments, even when I didn’t want to, especially when I didn’t I would get up and just do! Literally do something, weather it was laundry, cleaning, most of the time and in those moments, I would reach inside myself for ideas, or potential next moves. It was in those dark moments, I discovered I am here for more, there is more for me!

My speaking engagements begin to increase, and my path became a bit clearer. Of course I am not where I want to be, I am no longer looking in others people’s yard. I am actually enjoying my journey, because despite failure, I still know I am great, and if a door closes a roof is about to bust wide open!!

FINALLY, I am working on my second book I GOT NOW!! the follow-up to F.L.I.P The Script on Your Struggles. Writing this book has been so therapeutic to my entire soul.
I am looking to make speaking my full time career- This is an absolute leap of faith! But it’s time
I am getting my Doctorate degree in May….Next time we do a follow-up I will be Dr. Regina!!
I have been conducting mini writing workshops for those who have a desire to write their own books.
I am still doing financial literacy for you our youth. I have now expanded to young athletes with NIL deals. My program teaches them how to save and invest for their future and develop safe and practical spending habits for a lifetime.
My newest endeavor, The Advancement Collective. My non profit organization for youth that have aged out of the system and still need housing, job skills, and basic needs to survive during their transition.

With these endeavors, sometimes I still feel stagnant, because these endeavors, need time, financial commitments and people! I’m not gonna give up because I GOT NOW!

What are you most excited about in the coming year?
Growing up, I always declared I was going to be retired by 30, clearly that didn’t happen. In fact I am 47 years old and on my second career! But it’ s ok Colonel Sanders didn’t achieve success until he was in his 60’s so I am right on time.

This year I have been more intentional about writing down my goals, and really connecting with my goals. Doing this allows me to stay focused on my own yard. Seeing my goals written keeps me accountable. Also, I am learning not to be so hard on myself, to live in the moment and be thankful for every day my feet hit the ground!

I am excited about taking that leap of faith and being my own BOSS!!!
I am excited about filling my schedule with speaking engagements locally and internationally
I am excited about getting my Doctorate degree, next time you see me, I will be Dr. Regina! I am proud of that and I worked hard for it.
I am excited about introducing you to my next book I GOT NOW! I can’t wait to take that journey with you
Most of all I am excited about my commitment to evolving, learning, growing and GLOWING!

Oh what a year it will be!!
