We had the good fortune of connecting with Randall Vaughn and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Randall, how do you think about risk?
Risk is inherent with any business endeavor; if you are not willing to (literally!) lay everything on the line, then embarking on a business venture is absolutely not for you! I have always been willing to pursue business endeavors full throttle because I truly believe in my dreams & ideas, and I carefully curate a roadmap to success. It doesn’t always work out as planned, but failure is an integral-and unavoidable component to winning in business!

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Classic INTOWN Barbershop & MEN Spa offers complete personal care services and products, primarily for men (we service women as well!), conveniently located in Downtown Atlanta. We are 2 city blocks away from State Farm Arena and Mercedes Benz Stadium. Classic INTOWN Barbershop & MEN Spa is a Five*****Star GOOGLE business. I always work to improve our clients experience at Classic INTOWN; constantly adding to-and improving- the overall customer experience by ensuring our work space is clean, inviting and comfortable, and the services are executed in a timely, efficient manner. Growing a business is not easy, for example, I assumed the potential customer base for our new MEN Spa would be the same as the barbershops, but alas-that was not the case! A full re-evaluation of the metrics for potential clients of the MEN Spa was necessary.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
At Classic INTOWN Barbershop & MEN Spa we constantly refer our guest and out of town clients to must-experience restaurants, attractions and to-do’s in the heart of Atlanta GA! I always start with where to dine: PASCHALS, EATS on Ponce, Pollo Primo (Moreland Ave), The world-famous BUSY BEE Cafe on MLK Jr Blvd and the new healthy eatery-Your Vitamin Lady Kitchen (Moreland Ave) are always hits with our clients. Ponce City Market is always a great place to hang out with family and friends, for the architecture, views from the rooftop, the Atlanta Beltline, etc. The Civil Rights Museum, the GA Aquarium, the High Museum and The World of Coca Cola are also great places for families to experience in Atlanta!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to thank my father, who recently transitioned, for instilling the love of enterprise/ entrepreneurship in me; his example of owning and operating successful, varied businesses throughout my life were invaluable to me as I began my journey as an entrepreneur.
