Meet Princess Ella | Music Artist, IT personnel & Small Business Owner

We had the good fortune of connecting with Princess Ella and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Princess, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
I didn’t choose Music, Music chose me….. My Music career started when i was 9 years old . i used to sing in school , in church choir and i wrote my first song and performed it at my grand mother’s birthday party at the age of 10. i was part of a band in high school and i played the drums. i also play the guitar and keyboard. Music has been a part of me all my life.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Princess Ella is a diverse artist, who sings mostly Afrobeats, Afropops and Rnb. she also has a few rap songs.
what sets me apart from others is the ability to write and perform songs in different genres (not being defined) …one minute i could be rapping and the next i’m singing and also the ability to produce myself sometimes. I am an Independent artist, i push myself all the time.
I am most proud of the fact that i never let circumstances hold me down….i’m proud of being a mother to a beautiful young girl, never giving up, being a strong resilient woman, my culture and all the skills I’ve learnt outside music.
God. The Grace of God as gotten me to where i am today. i stay up late, practicing, writing , conditioning myself, giving myself targets. I stay consistent, i read, i always aspire to do better than what i am doing at at the moment.
It isn’t easy having a 9 to 5 job, being a mum and doing music but my love and dedication for all 3 of them keeps me going.
I basically stay on the positive side … i feed myself with thoughts of positive outcome and when it gets too hard, i pray.
Stay consistent!, be resilient, believe in yourself first before someone else can believe in you, stay away from negative people, practice, read….keep going, do not quit! Prayer is key.
Princess Ella is not just a pretty face, she is gifted, talented and a child of grace. She will keep going until she gets to the very top. watch out…
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
So I do not go out alot as I love my house but , if i had to take them to party, i will take them to an African club …most likely LIVING ROOM Atl or ACE.
We would probably eat at a steak restaurant and maybe hangout at PASHA in Atl.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to shout out to my mum (even though she is currently missing) ..thank you for making me the woman I am today. I also want to shout out to my team … Shayon my Engineer, EOG the Producer, Tunmininu my coach, Boomes Graphics, My family and to everyone who believes in me. I wish I could call them all out.
