We had the good fortune of connecting with Paula Farve and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Paula, what role has risk played in your life or career?
I think risks taking is definately important when running a business. I say do it afraid or you will never know your potential. Risk taking has proven to advance my life and business in the most positive manner.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I feel the reason my business stands out from others is, I actually grow my herbs and infuse my own plants including CBD Flower. The road to establishing my business was not easy. I started my business to overcome divorce and financial hardhip. I recently moved across the U.S. almost 3K miles away to reestablish myself and my business. It proved to be the right choice.
I have learned that you have to go with your gutt and take that chance and make sacrifices for what you believe in.
Consistency and hard work are the keys to success.

I have a passion for what I do so it does not feel like work. When I create my products I am “in my zone.”

I make my products out of love. I did not sleep in my car to not bring you the best possible products possible. I also started my business because my son suffers from eczema and I would not use anything to his skin so I would not want to harm yours. My daughter has used Naturally For Me Shea Butter on her skin and my grandkids from infancy along with my 96 year old mother.

My Motto
“Naturally For Me is Naturally For You”

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would take them to Nana’s Kitchen (a soul food resteraunt in Kent, Washington) I am partial to it because they are Black Owned and the Owner is from Mississippi where I am originally from. A cabin at Mt. Rainer would also be fabulous.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Dr. Yolonda Jerry, The Empowerment Advocate, My Mentor and friend. Visionary Author of My Walk Past Hell Anthology along with 30 other women inlcuding myself.
