We had the good fortune of connecting with Paul LoRe and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Paul, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?

The idea behind creating Integrated K9 Solutions came from a desire to offer a more complete and personalized approach to dog training. I saw a gap in the industry where many programs focused on just one aspect—obedience, protection, or behavior—but didn’t address the bigger picture of the dog-human relationship. I wanted to build something that not only helped dogs reach their potential but also empowered owners with the tools, education, and confidence to sustain that success. It’s about creating real-world solutions that fit seamlessly into everyday life while respecting the unique needs of both the dog and the handler.
I used to think I was helping humans with dog problems and in reality I am helping dogs with human problems

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Integrated K9 Solutions was created after I left my law enforcement career and decided to not only offer personalized dog training, but also explosive and firearms detection to the private sector. The first year was extremely challenging with providing detection services, because Covid had just become a nationwide crisis and there were no events being scheduled. I relied on
the training side of the house to keep the business moving forward. Once the lockdowns were lifted, business on the detection side started to gain traction and from there we secured our first client, Over Time Elite

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?

My perfect weekend getaway with my buddy and my dog would be explore Sweetwater Creek State Park for a scenic hike, then relax at Fetch Park—Atlanta’s ultimate dog park bar—so my pup could socialize while I enjoy a drink. For dinner, we’d head to Publico Kitchen, where even the dogs get their own menu

My wife Michele, has been a massive part of this success. Her words of encouragement and never doubting this big dream would take off.
