We had the good fortune of connecting with Patricia Mahone and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Patricia, as a parent, what do you feel is the most meaningful thing you’ve done for them?
The most important thing I’ve done as a parent is that I’ve taught my children the responsibility of the blessing. I’ve taught them to always be grateful for what we have and remember to help others in need. My children have hearts to serve others.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I am the founder of Hidden Gems Consulting, LLC. We are a personal and small business Consulting firm. My business was founded on the principle, write the vision, make it plain. We specialize in vision board workshops. The thing that sets us apart is that we offer complete vision board kits. We named them Purpose Paks. Before covid, I held in-person workshops and parties. Our last in-person event was a birthday/vision board party in February 2020. After that, we had a Workshop planned for April. Participants were paying and reserving their spots, then everything was shut down. I had to figure out a way to help people with their visions and dreams while being safe. I researched and downloaded Zoom. I then began to package the items they would need to do their board so they wouldn’t have to leave the house. I began doing virtual one on one workshops, group workshops, and family vision parties. From my workshops, many small businesses have been birthed. I have continued working with my clients throughout their journeys. This road has not always been easy. What I have learned is to have an open mind. The path may sometimes look different and it may curve and not be straight, but the vision and goal has remained the same.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to Shoutout Victoria Burse and The Arc International Miniseries. Victoria has mentored me for years, even when she didn’t know it. She helped to pull me out of my introvert shell and helped me to go after my dreams.
