Meet Patricia A. Brown | Entrepreneur, Disabled Veteran, Servant, Widow

We had the good fortune of connecting with Patricia A. Brown and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Patricia A., why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
Why did I pursue an artistic career…
I thought my husband and I chose this career because it was something we discovered and found it to be fun and exciting!
My husband and I thought it would be great to start a business so that when we retired, we would have our own. However, I soon discovered I didn’t pursue the career of my own desire; this artistic career was chosen for me for a particular purpose.
After signing the studio lease, I lost my husband of 30 years unexpectedly and quickly. I did not know what was ahead, but I would soon find out.
Being surrounded by the arts and having to create art was therapeutic for me throughout my grieving process and dealing with the deep-rooted depression. Daily, when I wanted to seclude myself, I was forced to run the studio and parties and events, which kept me in the land of the living.
Eventually, God healed me of the grief and depression in 2024, 1st quarter. However, I encountered my next hurdle. I’m an Army veteran. I served 15 years. In 2024, the 3rd quarter, I was diagnosed with Complex PTSD and Anxiety Disorder from my time in the military. Currently, this mountain to healing feels a bit steeper and turbulent than the one of depression and grief. It seems that PTSD has formed my entire adult life. I am learning about who Patricia is and undergoing therapy while still working to build my art studio, allowing the magic of art to keep my thoughts balanced and positive.
My Art studio serves as a hub for healing, and it started with me.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I’m an Army Veteran—Awarded with the Distinguished Leaders Award, Expert with my M16A1 Rifle, ran the Berlin half marathon in Berlin, ran cross-country combat runs with my weapon, and was awarded multiple awards for my team and equipment readiness.
I exited the Army and received my BA in CIS graduating Suma Cum Laudi with and 4,0 GPA after being out of school for 30 years. My drive, focus, and dedication are all a direct result of my upbringing. The military helped to refine and strengthen these traits.
I draw on all of these skills and qualities in my daily business and studio operations. My secret weapon is my Heavenly Father. He strengthens me, enables me, and equips me in and for all things. He is the reason I succeed, drive hard daily, and don’t quit, even when faced with challenging circumstances like COVID. I learned that I can do all things.
I knew that my faith is strong, and it develops me. My hard work and professionalism will always pay off, setting me apart from the rest.
Ultimately, my brand evolves daily, becoming more refined. My brand is about the people. Ensuring my guests receive an experience that leaves them with an impression that dwells and eventually promotes a life change. It is my goal to surround my guests with excellence, teach them excellence, and demonstrate excellence, so they can see it is attainable.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I love an outdoor Jazz concert. I would take my friend to the Lawrenceville Lawn when a great band appears. Set up chairs, coolers, snacks, and chill out to have a great time.
I love Hibachi! There’s a spot off of 85 on the Peachtree exit. I love the group seating, the display of talent and entertainment, and the food is delish!!!! But you gotta have that white sauce!!!
I love to shop, so we would stop at the Georgia Mall, visiting every level and giving my guests every opportunity to explore all the great stores in our famous 2-mile mall.
We would also have to make a dinner date and go to FAGO DE CHO!!!!! Oh my gosh!! Do I need to say more?
I love watching movies in the theater with reclining seats, so I would call all the gang, order the latest comedy, grab a big bucket of popcorn, recline, and get ready to laugh and have a great time while munching on popcorn.
Lastly, we would need to HAVE A PAINT PARTY!!!!!! At my spot!! I would have all the friends out again. It would be private; I would teach because I’m good. And I enjoy it!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
So, this may sound super cliché, but it’s genuinely from my heart.
I’m sending my first shoutout to the Lord Jesus Christ. If it were not for Him, I would not be here on this planet. I serve and appreciate Him daily.
Next, I have a plethora of friends and family who have been a tremendous help to me. My big brother, Jimmie L. Marion, first and foremost, helped me set up my entire studio. He assembled all the furniture and addressed all the technical issues. I can not thank him enough.
Lastly, and honestly, I would like to thank my guests. All of my guests who have booked private events to celebrate their special days have allowed me the opportunity to celebrate their family members. Their smiles, laughter, hugs, thank-you’s, looks of joy and surprise that they created such an incredible Masterpiece, have strengthened me and encouraged me throughout the years.
Yes…Thank you, Father!
…thank you, Family and Friends!
…thank you, Guests!
